Points of Interest and Destinations

In general, Old Town offers shops, museums, and restaurants, along with professional and local government services.  Some of the more popular attractions include the Old Courthouse Civil War Museum, George Washington’s Office, Stonewall Jackson’s Headquarters, the Discovery Museum, and the Handley Library.

Two walking tours are available to visitors on a self-guided basis.  The first tour is a history tour and the second is an architecture tour.  Brochures are available at City Hall and the George Washington Hotel as well as at the Winchester-Frederick County Visitors Center.  Click below to view the brochures online:
